Law, Public Safety and Security
The Law, Public Safety and Security Career Cluster includes lawyers, paralegals, law enforcement officers, firefighters, fish and game wardens, and security guards. Lawyers advise clients of their legal rights and represent clients in court. Paralegals are legal assistants. They research and investigate facts for lawyers. Law enforcement officers are expected to understand and follow the law. They study constitutional law, civil rights, state and local laws, and accident investigation techniques. Fire fighters must have a high school education as well as pass rigorous tests of physical stamina.
