Personal and Commercial Services
The Personal and Commercial Services Career Cluster includes occupations in the child care, home assistance, personal grooming, food services and hospitality industries. People who work with preschoolers and as teachers' aides make up the largest occupation in the child care industry. Many of these occupations have low wages and a high turnover rate. There are many opportunities for seasonal and part-time work in the hospitality industry. People with some college education hold many of these jobs. In general, good communication skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, and a helpful attitude are keys to success in personal and commercial services.
